This is the second part of my guide lines. Here you will learn how to accompany words by writing alternate lyrics.

It is important not to confuse it with alternative text versions of songs. There are many ways to cover the song, you can change the text slightly to modernize it, as tears of fear Disturbed cover “Scream.” You can also easily change the settings as seen in Madonna’s version of Don McLean “American Pie” and Sheryl Crow cover of Guns N Roses ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine “[also amended to change from evil to vote for women] . You notice a song that essentially remains expertise, and lyrical and melodic. Other examples of versions of songs, please. reference to “Triple M Musical Challenge” in paragraph 1 of this guide.

What is it?

Both alternatives use of lyrical songs and melodious songs of the existing location. “New” songs to the song of expertise, and in the same manner as the original song. This process is used not only for beginners, there are a number of artists who use this practice.

Why write a text alternative?

Many beginners use this practice as a tool to study the process of associating words with music. As for artists, and there are several reasons – some of them probably think so

* One of the most common forms of alternative parody lyrics .. Check any of Weird Al Yankovic. Some of his titles include “Amish Paradise” (Paradise Gangsta’s “by Coolio),” It’s All About Pentiums “(” It’s all about Benjamin Sean Combs, Notorious BIG, Jacobs Sean and others); “constipated” (“Complicated” “Avril Lavinge).

* alternative text can be used to add a little” flair “for live performance, or break the monotony of the game” same “song every night while on tour. This can be seen in Guns N Roses song “Do not cry [Both versions can be found on the" Use Your Illusion "albums].

* Maybe too much has been written original songs and writers adapted the project surplus “new” way. Or maybe the writer can not decide on a corner, especially for the song and continues to change the song, until they found something they were happy with. You can see the Staind song “out” you can find the original versions of this song, through a simple online search.

Getting Started

It’s probably best if you first attempt to write an alternative text, choose a song that you know. In selecting songs, try to select the song you know well. First, to explore texts, take notes, such as patterns of rhyme schemes and compositions. What I mean by this? Look at the finish line and rhyme together or a pattern to it. estimate the number of syllables in each line and see if this design is intended for them (not all notes will be, but it is important to note that there is)

* -. * Make sure you know the song well, listen to it 100 times, if necessary you should be able not only to remember the song. but also placed and how the songs are sung.

What are you going to write? You must have a clear idea of what you plan to write. If you’re going to write a parody of the topic you intend to use any ideas and thoughts to write the song that could fly, “use something like the Association of exercises in Part 1 of this series. If you decide to make a more serious song, throw some ideas / words, so it’s like the idea – it can help when it comes to writing lyrics

Now, I can not tell you exactly how to go about the actual process Each has its own writing style and methods, honestly .. I do not know exactly how I write just comes to me, but I can give some tips to keep in mind when it comes to writing songs alternatives.

Tips

. # We continue to take note that deposits With this in mind, you expect to be able to keep peace with original songs .. Keep a copy for your convenience next song if it makes it easier for you’ve noticed. some examples in my travels I have ignored ending. Disastrous for the song CAUSE This problem occurs because the “beat” [or warehouse] was broken for the song, stream song throwing example, if the original text to go:. 7/8/7/7 5/6/5/7 and alternative songs go, I can tell immediately that there is some flow matter of “us”, the song may take a little more time and planning wrote the text. but if you work with “format” of the original music tracks are grateful for that.

There are exceptions to every rule, and sometimes he is not one, you can go from one part of being on both sides of the actual number. Although one should be careful when doing this because there is a chance of not working .. This will not work for all songs, I know you must be careful in applying it This can help give a little more freedom at work, however, I highly recommend this technique until you are familiar with writing lyric ..

# If the lyric has a specific rhyme scheme, and try to follow him. As there are different styles of poetry used. If the free use of rhyme, you can avoid problems by using free verse for your song # Avoid stay away from power lines or phrases used in the original song especially if you do something drastic, as a replacement influenced Christian rock songs in this song mean. This in itself can be very effective piece [kind of mixture is very popular these days] but only when done correctly. Remember you are writing about, I recently saw a piece that tried to make race a part of Christian songs on the street. It would be very effective if they used the same phrases that were in the original song, which is in contradiction with what the author wanted to say

. # You can, if you want to use lines from the original piece, if you write about a similar subject. As first examples of types of alternative text that Guns N ‘Roses and state Staind songs remains the same chorus and connect two sets of texts. You can use one or two lines if you want to link a part of the original piece and addition to your “new” songs.

* * * * * * * * * *

Use of alternative songs you can learn how to accompany words with music. Once you feel comfortable with words and music accompanying this form, you can go to take a little more complicated technology is in Part 3 of this series, sampling and Ghost Song
